We Ball Together As the peak governing body for basketball in Queensland, BQ is committed to delivering outstanding competitions, development programs and high-level governance for more than 40,000 basketball players, coaches, officials and administrators.
Brisbane Basketball’s Greater Brisbane League (GBL) is Queensland’s premier competitive club competition.
All GBL Competitions are gender-inclusive. The GBL season coincides with Queensland school terms 4 and 1, commencing in spring (October) and finishing before Easter, with a short break over the Christmas period. The season typically runs for around 20 rounds, with the Division 1 competition taking part in a two-game series each week.
In 2014, the GBL Championship season commences in the first week of March. Training. Compulsory training for GBL Gold teams will be on Sunday evenings between 6pm -7:30pm (womens) and 7:30pm-9pm (mens). The training venue will be the Connell Gym at the University of Queensland.

Brisbane Basketball Inc. is the association that runs and facilitates Junior, Senior and Representative competitions at Auchenflower Stadium. We are the largest Junior Domestic competition in Queensland with over 350 teams and 4,000 participants across all competitions.
The GBL consists of six senior division teams from Major/Pacific League A and B through to South Queensland League A-C and a separate Masters competition. Juniors consist of an U20 competition, division one and two U16 and a division one and two U14 competitions.
